Question for anyone who has done it: how long did they actually keep you at the hospital in early labour before sending you home? Trying to work out whether to eat first.

Sent home twice. About fourteen hours the first time. Eat a proper meal while you can, you will not get another chance for a day and a half.

Depends entirely on how dilated she is when you arrive. Ours was six hours out and back. Take the bags in anyway, saves a trip.
